Thirty two of them are from Masbate, 32 are from Surigao, and 16 are from General Santos City.

These stranded individuals were from the town of Del Gallego, Camarines Sur where they stayed and sheltered along the highway before a checkpoint.

They were transported to the Spear Division by military trucks.

Before transferring them to the old Division Training School which will serve as temporary isolation facility where they will be quarantined for 14 days, they first underwent a thorough medical check-up.

They were also provided with some of the basic items such as pales, dippers, soaps, and meals.

While on quarantine, said individuals are directed to observe social distancing and proper self-hygiene.

MGEN FERNANDO T TRINIDAD AFP, Commander of 9ID, reiterated that military units are prepared to accommodate individuals who are affected by the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) be it as staging area or as temporary quarantine facility as this is a response to cooperate with other government agencies in its all-out campaign against COVID-19.
