9th Infantry Battalion Has a New Commander

 

 

CAMP ELIAS ANGELES Pili, Camarines Sur- The 9th Infantry (Sandigan) Battalion based in Masbate, has its new Commander after a Change of Command Ceremony at its Headquarters in Sitio Baclay, Brgy Bacolod, Milagros, Masbate on November 17, 2015 with BGen Ferdinand F Quidilla, Commander 9ID as presiding officer.

LtCol Patrick E Cinco, newly installed Commanding Officer of 9IB was the former Assistant Chief of Staff for Communications, Electronics and Information System (CEIS), G6 of 10th Infantry Division. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Mindanao and pursued a Master’s degree in Public Administration at the University of the Southern Philippines in Cebu City.

He was assigned to various field grade positions in Mindanao from 1999 to 2010 before being re-assigned to the Civil Relations Service (CRS), Armed Forces of the Philippines as its Assistant of the Chief of Staff for Logistics, C4 on 2011. He was also designated as the Brigade Executive Officer of the 303rd (Brown Eagle) Brigade, 3rd Infantry (Spearhead) Division, Philippine Army before he became the Commanding Officer of 3rd CMO Battalion of 3rd ID on 2013.

Meanwhile, Col Juan Alden C Masagca, will continue his designation as the Deputy Brigade Commander of 903rd Infantry Brigade covering the provinces of Masbate and Sorsogon.

BGen Quidilla is confident that LtCol Cinco is capable enough to lead the officers and men of 9th Infantry (Sandigan) Battalion in the realization of 9ID objectives in winning the peace in the Province of Masbate.
